How does Ann's affiliate marketing program work?

The affiliate marketing program at Ann's Bridal Bargains gives you the ability to earn commission on sales you refer to us through your website.

Who can sign up for Ann's affiliate program?

Any company or person owning or operating at least one website can apply to be a publisher in the Ann's Bridal Bargains affiliate marketing program. Websites should be family friendly, relevant to Ann's Bridal Bargains customers, look professional, and be current. Ann's Bridal Bargains will not be associated with any vulgar, racist, sexual, or any other offensive content.

What is a publisher?

A publisher is an individual or company that promotes an advertiser's product or service in exchange for earning a commission. In other words, you!

What is an advertiser?

An advertiser is any company that is willing to pay other people to help sell and promote their business. Advertisers contractually agree to work with a publisher, and then provide the publisher with creative — in the form of text links, banner ads and even individual products — that are incorporated into the publisher's website. Ann's Bridal Bargains is an advertiser.

How much does it cost to join?

There is no cost to join Ann's affiliate program or to sign up for the affiliate networks we work with.

What do I earn for each sale I refer?

Commission ranges from 3% to 10% depending on your website's business model. Once you are approved for a particular percentage it will not change unless your business model changes. Commission is determined by the total of merchandise in an individual sale; taxes and shipping fees are not included in the sale total for commission purposes.

How do you know when I should receive credit for a sale?

The code you paste onto your website is provided by the affiliate network, and includes your unique publisher parameter. That cookie identifies you as the referring publisher. When that visitor makes a purchase on our website, the system recognizes the cookie and sends the sale information to the correct affiliate network. The publisher's website where the visitor last clicked is the publisher who gets credit for the sale.

What is your return days or cookie policy?

The return days policy and the cookie policy refer to the same thing — the number of days a visitor has to complete a purchase after the cookie is placed in their browser. Ann's return day/cookie policy is 45 days. This means the cookie will drop off of the visitor's browser after 45 days, or when the visitor clicks on a different affiliate publisher's link to our website.

Do product returns affect my commission?

Yes, if a customer returns a product for a refund, or if credit card charges are reversed due to a dispute or credit card fraud, we do debit your account of the commission. However, there is no need to worry because Ann's has a very low return rate!

When and how do I get paid?

Checks are dispersed monthly through the affiliate network. To ensure timely payment, publishers should verify their payment and tax information is correct within their publisher account. Commission Junction and LinkShare require valid tax certification before payments can be released to a publisher.

What types of creative are available for me to promote?

We offer text links, banner ads, individual product links and a product feed. See the sample creative page for examples of each type of link. Publishers are encouraged to request additional creative from Ann's program manager if they are looking for something that's not available in the affiliate network.

What is an individual product link?

An individual product link is used when a publisher would like to feature a specific product on his/her website. Publishers can search for specific products using the individual product search tool in each network.

What are product feeds?

Product feeds are for publishers who would like to list all of our products on their website. See Commission Junction or LinkShare for more information on product feeds.
