Looking for an inexpensive centerpieces? Paint clear wine bottles or jars for a great way to add that pop of color while staying within your wedding budget.
Since you’re painting the bottles, the sky is the limit for colors! We brought in an emerald swatch and asked our local paint store to match it. We really like the modern look of painting all the bottles one color, but painting them different shades of the same color is also beautiful. Try multiple colors for a really vibrant look!
Think about how you plan to use these wedding centerpieces. If you plan to fill them with water for flowers, you would probably want to spray-paint the outside of your bottles. If not, you can pour paint inside the bottle to coat the glass. Search online for some “how-to” tips and decide which painting technique will work best for your purposes.
If you don’t have any restrictions, we suggest trying out both techniques to see what you like best. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time before the wedding to experiment and finish the bottles.
