Sultry Blooms Wedding Invitation in GrapevineSultry Blooms – Grapevine

Watercolor designs have become HUGE in the last year, and florals are always popular for weddings. What we love about our new watercolor wedding invitations is the rich, saturated color scheme of the flowers.

Pastel Patterns Wedding InvitationPastel Patterns

Fun and funky have always been close friends of modern fashion. Patterns are an eye-catching way to capture that unique look while showing off some real personality! What we love about these wedding invitations is the bold nature of mixed patterns in soft pastels.

Planted in Paradise Wedding InvitationPlanted in Paradise

Tropical is topical purely because the amount of destination weddings has been steadily increasing. What we love about our new destination wedding invitations is how they entice your wedding guests to plant themselves in paradise right alongside the two of you!

Vintage is the ultimate in wedding fashion trends right now. Brides have fallen in love with romantic design elements like flourishes, flowers, damask and lace. We love all those things about these new vintage wedding invitations, but what we really love is the affordable thermography printing that gives them the exquisite look of engraving.

You’ll find many of these design trends on our wedding favors and wedding napkins. Check them out and see how to coordinate a stylish look throughout your wedding ceremony and reception.

Option #2 - Forever & Always Separate and Send
When Rachel and Danny came to us for advice on budget-friendly invitations, we decided to throw together a few different ideas. After careful consideration of their needs, we narrowed the choices down to three invitations.

Which one will they choose?

Here are some things we considered when coming up with options:

• Wedding Look – Rachel and Danny’s wedding colors were champagne, sage and brown. They wanted a look that was elegant with touches of flair.

• Affordable Accents – We looked at things like ribbon and rhinestones, which could be added to most invitations for a little extra pizzazz without adding cost.

• Guest Count -Rachel and Danny knew a smaller wedding would help them save money, and fewer invitations means less time assembling. This frees up time for fun, DIY accents!

• Money-Saving Details – To keep the cost as low as possible, we looked at easy money-savers like different formatting options, postcard responses and all-in-one invitations.

Option 1: Dreamy – Seal and Send Invitation

Option #1 - Dreamy Seal and Send Invitation

The Invite: Seal and Send invitations feature an all-in-one design, which means the wedding wording and reception wording are printed on the invitation and a detachable response postcard is included at the bottom. Response postcards require less postage. Another nice thing about seal and sends is they are self-mailing. Just fold, seal and send!

The Extras: The swirl design featured on the Dreamy invitation is elegant all on its own, but we added a sparkling rhinestone between the couple’s names for an easy touch of glamour.

The Cost: $99.99 per 100. All necessary pieces included! $3.99 per sheet of 25 rhinestones.

Option 2: Forever and Always – Separate and Send Invitation

Option #2 - Forever & Always Separate and Send

The Invite: Separate and Send invitations come as complete, coordinated stationery sets. Each invitation comes with two enclosure cards (respond card and reception card) on one convenient sheet. The enclosure cards are perforated for easy separation. Invitation envelopes and respond card envelopes are also included.

The Extras: The “forever and always” design creates such a beautiful element on this invitation, we wanted to accent this meaningful phrase with a clear rhinestone. We also chose lined envelopes to coordinate beautifully with the ensemble.

The Cost: $129.99 per 100. All necessary pieces included! $3.99 per sheet of 25 rhinestones. An additional $20 for lined envelopes.

Option 3:  Elegant Filigree – Invitation

Option #3 Elegant Filigree Invitation

A traditional-style invitation featuring a gate-fold front and luxurious embossing. The cost of this invitation will be higher since enclosures are sold separately. Rachel and Danny would need both the reception and respond cards, but this is still an affordable option especially for a traditional invitation ensemble with rich embossing.

The Extras: The gate-fold closure of this invitation makes it a unique choice. We decided to tie it closed with a shiny satin ribbon. We also added a lined envelope to coordinate.

The Cost: Invitations are $69.99 per 100. Reception cards are $46.99 per 100 and Respond Cards are $51.99 per 100. Satin Ribbon is $28.99 per 100-yard roll, which can also be used on decorations, bouquets and gifts. An additional $20 for lined envelopes.

Let us know which invitation is your favorite and what you like about it. We’ll reveal Danny and Rachel’s choice on Friday along with some fabulous photos of the big day!

Our Favorite Chalkboard Trends
Decorations, photograph props, home accents, gifts and so much more are all popping up with chalkboard twists! Apparently, we don’t want to erase the memory of a simpler time or we simply love the fun an old-fashioned chalkboard can provide. Either way, Ann’s loves the trend. Here are our Top 5 Faves…

 Our Favorite Chalkboard Trends

1. Seating Charts

Not only does this look awesome, it’s so easy! Just make sure you enlist someone with nice handwriting — perhaps a troublemaker as a child, therefore experienced.

2. Chalkboard Accents

It’s incredible what ideas people can come up with for using chalkboard paint. These glasses, for example, are properly labeled and look super cute.

3. Chalkboard Wedding Invitations

We’ve seen some pretty neat chalkboard wedding invitations, but we happen to be partial to our own, of course: Growing Wild Wedding Invitation

4. Chalkboard Dinner Menu

Again, how simple can you get? Plus, different colored chalk allows for even more creativity — just like back in the day!

5. Photo Props

Last but not least, chalkboard photo props are simply the best. Whether you provide a chalkboard for guests to write on or prepare a chalkboard to be displayed within pictures, this is a really fun idea.

Has the chalkboard trend made it into your wedding? How so?

Positively Glowing Petite Wedding Invitation
Did you know minimalist style started making its way back into fashion when the recession began in 2007-2008? The state of our economy actually plays a significant role in fashion, hence minimalism resurging in popularity. Beautiful in its simplicity, minimalist style has become an enduring theme in today’s weddings especially with the rising popularity of eco-friendly choices telling us less is more.

The Petite Wedding Invitation Collection by Ann’s is one of many ways to keep your wedding simple and beautiful. The smaller size is both delicate and economical, leaving you with a price point of $59.99 per 100 invitations — that’s pretty amazing! Even with a reception, respond card and the necessary envelopes, petite invitations can still be mailed for a standard first class postage stamp. You can even add a cute pop of color with lined outer envelopes (not available with all invitations).

Positively Glowing Petite Wedding Invitation

Today’s weddings are all about being unique. No fashion trend is going to dictate how you pull that off, but we suggest ordering a sample of your favorite petite wedding invitation. Put simply, we think you’ll like it.

Quick Tip: When mailing, always assemble a complete ensemble and have it weighed at the post office before purchasing postage to verify how much you need.

Use Ribbon to DIY
Finding affordable wedding decorations can be difficult, but bulk ribbon is a money-saving trick we use ALL the time. You can prettify pretty much anything with a little ribbon.

Bulk Ribbon Rolls

Ann’s offers colorful satin ribbon in two sizes: 3/8” and 5/8”. Both sizes are sold in rolls of 100 yards. What does that mean for you? 100 yards of ribbon equals:

• 240, 2-inch favor boxes when knotted and wrapped around the box. We use 15-inch ribbon lengths.
• 180, 2-inch favor boxes when tied in a bow and wrapped around the box. We use 20-inch ribbon lengths.
• 100 dinning chairs, wrapped around the back. We use 36-inch ribbon lengths.
• 37, 8-foot tables as table runners from end to end.
• 30, 10-foot tables as table runners from end to end.

Try some of these great ideas for using ribbon.

Use Ribbon to DIY

You can buy ribbon at your local craft store, but be careful. Not all craft stores sell large rolls of bulk ribbon, which means you may need to order it in advance or hit up a couple different stores. Getting it from different stores means you might not get an exact color match.
