When to Send Thank You Cards
You have up to 3 months after the wedding to send thank you cards. We recommend ordering your thank you cards 4-6 months before the wedding so you have them for gifts you’ll receive at pre-wedding celebrations. Send thank you cards within a couple weeks of any showers you may have and as soon as you start receiving wedding gifts in the mail.
When the time comes to write thank yous to all of your wedding guests, we suggest writing a certain number of thank you notes over several days to make it easy on yourselves. It’s better to take your time and write a genuine note of appreciation than to rush through and be impersonal about it.
