1. Introducing your big day.

Beautiful sweeping hearts, your own favorite verse or elegant flowers are all great ideas for romantic wedding invitations. Decide what romance means to the two of you, and let that be the introduction to your special day.

2. Creating a theme.

Continue your design choice — hearts, flowers, verse — throughout your wedding by featuring it on your ceremony programs, napkins, wedding favors and more.

3. Getting sentimental.

Write your own vows to recite to each other on your wedding day. If you think this sounds cheesy or cliché, wait until everyone at your wedding — including yourselves — are wiping the tears from their eyes.
4. Going classic.

Sprinkle red rose petals along the church aisle or on top of reception tables. Not only are rose petals a classic, romantic touch, they add beautiful color to your wedding décor.

5. The perfect lighting.

Decorate the church or reception with soft candlelight by placing votives
and other candles of various sizes throughout the church or reception.
Place the candles in clear votive holders and vases to create simply elegant
yet inexpensive wedding decorations.

6. A lot of heart!

Add heartfelt décor to the ceremony, such as heart-shaped unity candle
holders
or an entwined hearts aisle runner.

7. A fresh perspective.

Float fresh flowers in glass votive holders or vases for a gorgeous addition to your décor that’s classic, beautiful and oh-so-romantic. They look wonderful placed throughout an intimate church setting or as reception table centerpieces. (Tip: Choose in-season flowers for the best price or ask your florist if they’ll have leftover flowers after creating bouquets and arrangements.)

8. Being unique.

Create your own signature drink to be served at the reception, and give it a name that means something special to the two of you.

9. Something old…

Incorporate the delicate look of lace into your wedding. Lace, when done right, is romantic and very stylish. Play around with lace as a part of your reception table decorations or as accents to bouquets. Lace is especially cute on a flower girl — a lace-accented flower basket will look beautiful in her little hands!
