Planning a Christmas wedding? We’re jealous! The holiday season is such a gorgeous time of the year to hold a wedding. The whole world feels magical, joyful and full of hope. What a perfect season to begin your new life together.

Plus, our favorite reason to get married at Christmastime: everything is already decorated! That’s more money in your pocket for things like a tropical honeymoon to get the heck out the cold. Sounds pretty great, right?

Need some ideas for your Christmas wedding? This Christmas wedding mood board is bursting with festive style that screams “Christmas is our favorite”!

A Christmas Themed Invitation

We created a lot of fun, new winter wedding invitations and a few have holiday themes that are just perfect for a Christmas wedding. This ‘Tis the Season themed design is our favorite though. It’s so cheerful and just exudes the love!

The white woodgrain background lends a bit of a rustic vibe and the watercolor holiday greenery is super sweet. The part you might love most though is the incredibly affordable price and the fact that it comes with free rsvp postcards.

Dress to Impress in Winter

Choosing what to wear for your Christmas wedding is going to be sooo much fun!

  • The Bride: Obviously staying warm is important, and you can do it in such fun style! A floor-length wedding dress in heavy material like satin or dense lace is a pretty choice. Top it off with a faux-fur shrug for a rustic winter bride style that’s classic and ultra-chic.
  • The Groom: See that groom in our mood board? We love his casual style! The groom can pull this look off with dark colored chinos, a plaid dress shirt and tweed jacket.
  • The Wedding Party: If you have a wedding party, have fun with their clothing. We actually love the idea of dressing the bridesmaids in winter-white with plaid shrugs. For the guys, have them mirror the groom’s look, but ditch the jacket.

Deck the Halls with Winter Wedding Decorations

Remember, this is the best part about getting married during the holidays! Choose a venue that’s already decorated for the season. Work with the manager at your location to get photos of what it’s going to look like when it’s all blinged-out for Christmas, and then create all the extras, like table centerpieces, that coordinate.

And, splurging on details like a candy bar, signature cocktails and custom napkins is within reach when you don’t have to decorate a totally blank slate. Such a huge bonus during the month of December!
