THE GUEST OF HONOR’S NAME

It seems like a big “duh”, but don’t forget to mention the bride’s name. Or, the couple’s name if you’re having a couple’s shower.

DATE AND TIME

You might be surprised how many times we see people forget the date or time of the celebration.

LOCATION AND ADDRESS

Folks need to know where to go, so add in the location, as well as the address, if needed. If you’re hosting the shower in a public venue in a smaller town, the name of the location only is probably fine. Know your guest list and use common sense when it comes to adding an address.

If you need a head count, be sure to request that guests RSVP. Add a name, contact information and reply-by date.

Adding the names of the shower host or hostess to the invitation is a wise idea! Guests will appreciate knowing who’s throwing the celebration.

REGISTRY INFORMATION

No, you should not add registry information to your wedding invitations, but you can add it on bridal shower invites! Why? Because the entire purpose of a wedding shower is to shower the guest-of-honor with gifts!
