What Does “Converted” Mean?
Converted products are items that are pre‑manufactured into their final physical form before your personalization is printed.
How Converted Products Are Made
Converted items begin as large printed sheets. The manufacturer then:
- Die‑cuts the shape
- Scores fold lines
- Folds
- Adds optional premium finishes such as:
- Foil stamping
- Embossing or debossing
- Laser cutting
- Deckle edges
These finished “blanks” are then stocked in inventory. When you place an order, your personalization (text, logo, verse, etc.) is printed onto the pre‑converted product.
Why Choose Converted Products?
Converted items are ideal when you want:
- High‑end, tactile finishes
- Crisp, consistent folds
- A polished, professional appearance
- Premium embellishments not possible with digital printing
Limitations of Converted Products
Because the product is already formed before personalization:
- Full‑bleed printing (edge‑to‑edge) is not available
- Ink coverage may be limited in certain areas
- Slight margins are required around edges and seams
- Multi‑color ink or foil upgrades may require an additional charge
Converted products are best for customers who want luxury finishes and traditional craftsmanship.
