How do I type accented characters when personalizing my product?

Many names, messages, and greetings include accented letters. While most keyboards don’t show these characters directly, they’re easy to type using built‑in shortcuts.

Typing Accented Characters on Windows

Windows users can type accented letters using Alt codes:

á — Alt + 0225

é — Alt + 0233

í — Alt + 0237

ó — Alt + 0243

ú — Alt + 0250

ü — Alt + 0252

ñ — Alt + 0241

ç — Alt + 0231

Typing Accented Characters on Mac

Mac users can type accents by holding the letter key:

Hold a → á, à, â, ä, ã

Hold e → é, è, ê, ë

Hold i → í, ì, î, ï

Hold o → ó, ò, ô, ö, õ

Hold u → ú, ù, û, ü

Hold n → ñ

Hold c → ç

If an accented character doesn’t display correctly

Some fonts do not support every accented letter. If a character looks incorrect, you can:

Try switching to a different font
Add a note in Special Order Instructions asking our team to insert the correct character
