How do I add symbols or special characters in the editor?
You can add many symbols directly while personalizing your product. Most symbols can be typed using keyboard shortcuts, while others can be added using the editor’s built‑in tools.
Typing Symbols Using Your Keyboard
© — Alt + 0169 (Windows) / Option + G (Mac)
® — Alt + 0174 (Windows) / Option + R (Mac)
™ — Alt + 0153 (Windows) / Option + 2 (Mac)
• — Alt + 0149 (Windows) / Option + 8 (Mac)
— (em dash) — Alt + 0151 (Windows) / Shift + Option + - (Mac)
– (en dash) — Alt + 0150 (Windows) / Option + - (Mac)
Adding Symbols Using the Editor
You may also be able to:
- Paste symbols from another document
- Insert artwork icons from the Artwork Library
- Add shapes or text boxes to create visual symbols
- Upload your own artwork or logo
If a symbol doesn’t appear correctly
Some fonts do not support every symbol. If a character looks incorrect, you can:
- Try switching to a different font
- Add a note in Special Order Instructions asking our team to insert the symbol
- Contact Customer Service for help
