What Does “Digital Press” Mean?
Digital press products are printed directly from a digital file onto flat sheets of cardstock before the product is cut or folded.
How Digital Press Printing Works
Digital printing sends your artwork straight from the computer to a toner‑ or ink‑based printer. There are no printing plates, which makes the process fast and flexible.
Benefits of Digital Press Products
- Full personalization included (logos, text, photos, verses, etc.)
- Full‑bleed printing available
- Fast turnaround times
- Cost‑effective for small or medium quantities
- Printed on flat sheets, then cut and sometimes folded after printing
Limitations of Digital Press Products
- Does not support certain premium finishes (foil, embossing, laser‑cutting) unless added as a separate production process, for example adding a die-cut or applying foil
- May not match the ultra‑rich texture of traditional converted processes
Digital press products are ideal when you want maximum design flexibility, full‑color printing, and fast production.
